As a health-centered practice, Steven M. Miller, DDS believes that by caring for your oral health with our full menu of dental services, you will also be caring for your overall health.
Family Dentistry — We see children as young as two years old and treat patients well into their nineties. All treatment is done in a caring environment.
Preventive Care and Periodontal Therapy — Recent studies suggest that there is a connection between gum disease and other health problems such as heart disease, artery blockages, and stroke. With prevention and early detection of oral diseases, such as decay and gum disease, we will be able to help you maintain a healthy smile and lifestyle.
Sleep Apnea — Oral devices can help with snoring and mild to moderate sleep apnea.
State of the Art Technology — From air abrasion for drill-free fillings to DentalVibe (a device used to decrease the sensation of pain caused by an injection), we’ve not left out a single detail when it comes to an efficient and gentle experience for our patients.
Emergency Patients — You are always welcome and will be seen by our emergency dentist the same day for fast pain relief. Call us anytime!
Nitrous Oxide for Anxious Patients
With the many advances in dental technology, our office is able to efficiently provide quality dental services to even the most fearful patients. You no longer have to postpone your dental appointments because you are afraid!
Our gentle and caring team will ensure that your visits with us are comfortable and positive. We will do our very best to ease your fears by offering the option of using Nitrous Oxide (laughing gas, sweet air, happy gas), which should ultimately make you feel calm and comfortable. Nitrous oxide is a safe and effective sedative agent that is mixed with oxygen. It is inhaled through a small mask that fits over your nose and mouth. It has no color, smell and it does not irritate. It is intended to help you relax, not put you to sleep.
You will be able to hear and respond to any requests or directions we may have. As you breathe normally through your nose, you should feel the effects of the laughing gas within a few short minutes. These effects will wear off as soon as you start breathing straight oxygen.
