Your Exam
If you haven’t had a full set of x-rays within the last five years, we will take those at the beginning of your new patient exam. We will only take necessary x-rays for your proper diagnosis. Dr. Miller will use these x-rays, and where necessary, our advanced CariVu™ tool, to screen for signs of decay. Digital photos of your teeth will also be taken during our comprehensive exam, which we will keep in your patient record for future comparisons.
As part of each exam, we record your blood pressure, perform an oral soft tissue cancer exam, and evaluate your TMJ/TMD. Your gums will be evaluated for signs and symptoms of gingivitis and periodontal disease.
We will listen to any concerns that you have about your oral health, then Dr. Miller will develop a treatment plan with at least one other option that addresses your concerns that will put you on a course toward good oral health that you can maintain.
