Dental Fillings
Cosmetic fillings are placed when there is tooth decay, which will restore tooth structure that has been lost. They are made from tooth-colored composite (resins) and when cared for properly can last for many years.
We can also place silver amalgam fillings, which are more durable and last much longer. This material can be very useful on teeth that are not able to have a dry field, such as those toward the back of the mouth. Protective Dental Sealants
Sealants protect the grooves of primary and permanent back teeth. When the anatomy of the chewing surface has deep grooves and pits, sealants are a very conservative technique to protect the chewing surface. It makes the chewing surface very easy to clean thoroughly because the sealant prevents food and bacteria from getting stuck in the chewing surface.
Porcelain Crowns
Porcelain dental crowns are very natural looking replacements for teeth that have fractured or badly decayed, and can be instrumental in smile makeovers. There are several types of tooth colored crowns that can be used depending on the location in your mouth, including ones that are more cosmetic for the front of your smile, or more durable for the back teeth that grind together. Brand options include E-max and Zirconia.
Fixed Dental Bridges
Dental Bridges are a type of dental prosthesis used to replace missing teeth, consisting of a false tooth suspended between two dental crowns. Natural teeth on either side of the space are needed to attach the bridge. These teeth generally need additional preparation to hold the crowns this restoration requires. Due to the popularity of dental implants, fewer bridges are being made today.
Full Mouth Tooth Replacement
Traditional Dentures are used to replace missing teeth, gum tissue and bone support. Complete or full dentures are used to replace all the missing teeth in an arch. They are custom-made to look natural and fit comfortably in your mouth. These “plates” are generally made of acrylic resin but can also be made of a combination of other materials.
Immediate Dentures are used to replace a very broken down set of upper and/or lower teeth on the same day that the final extractions are performed. This way you will never go home without all your teeth.
Partial Dentures are used to replace several missing teeth. They may rest on a metal framework that is attached to your natural teeth. Partial dentures attach to your teeth with metal clasps, flexible clasps or precision attachments. Dr. Miller will help you to decide which type of denture is best for you.
Next Day Dentures are implant supported dentures that are delivered the day after dental implant surgery. If you’ve heard the term “All-on-4 denture", it is very similar. Dr. Miller may use as few as 5 or 6 implants to support these Next Day Dentures. Our oldest next day patient was 92!
Locator Overdentures are a hybrid denture that can snap on and off over your dental implants, for a more secure fit. They’re perfect for a removable prosthesis that tends to move around.
Supported Implant Dentures such as bar retained dentures can be permanent or removable.
Hybridge or Extended Implant Supported Bridges are an extended dental bridge that is anchored onto as few as four or five implants. They free up space in your mouth, so that you don’t have to feel like you are wearing a bulky denture.
