Laughing Gas for Anxious Patients

Our gentle and caring team will ensure that your visits with us are comfortable and positive. We will do our very best to ease your fears by offering the option of using laughing gas which should ultimately make you feel calm and comfortable. Laughing gas is a safe and effective sedative agent that is mixed with oxygen. It is inhaled through a small mask that fits over your nose and mouth. It has no color, smell and it does not irritate. It is intended to help you relax, not put you to sleep.
You will be able to hear and respond to any requests or directions we may have. As you breathe normally through your nose, you should feel the effects of the laughing gas within a few short minutes. These effects will wear off as soon as you start breathing straight oxygen.
